APLPLY YOUR SELFTO THE FIELD MINISTRY: January 17-23, 2022. Revisit lesson .17 assignment prepared

Revisit (4 mins): Use the ideas to talk. Then show the video Who Are Jehovah's Witnesses?, but do not play it (th lec. 17).

PUBLISHER: Good afternoon Juan. How do you feel? I'm glad you were able to connect to the video call to continue talking about what we left pending the other day.

HOUSEWIFE: Good afternoon Alberto. I'm fine, thank you. Thanks to you also for taking time, the conversation the other day was interesting and we left interesting questions pending.

PUBLISHER: That's right. We said that today we would respond to How does God help us cope with our problems? There are many ways in which he does it, but we are going to see it directly through the Bible through a Biblical text... I share it with you on WhatsApp so you can read it yourself, do you think?

HOUSEWIFE: Ok…I got it…is this from Jeremiah 29:11?

PUBLISHER: Yes, it is a very interesting text… you can read it whenever you want.

HOUSEWIFE: It says… “Because I know very well what I have in mind for you,” declares Jehovah. I want them to have peace, not calamity. I want to give them a future and hope.”

PUBLISHER: Did you notice Juan? The text can be divided into two parts, one is the consequence of the other.

HOUSEWIFE: Yes, it says that God wants peace for us... He doesn't want to see calamity or how we suffer from today's problems...

PUBLISHER: Very well, and the consequence of this desire... more than a desire, a promise that God has made to us... is that he will give us a future... a future that is very different from what we could imagine... and what does this generate in us?

HOUSEWIFE: Hope, the last word of the text.

PUBLISHER: Very good. From what we see that God, Jehovah, wants us to have peace, for them he will give us a future under his government that will be perfect where there will be no problems and knowing or knowing all this gives us hope... is this hope necessary today? ?

HOUSEWIFE: Alberto is very necessary. What you have said is interesting, because today every human government that comes, every 4 years we do not know what will happen to it, if it will be better or worse than the previous one... but of course... if the government comes from God...

PUBLISHER: We can be sure that it will be a perfect government... furthermore, God as almighty has in his hand to solve problems that no human can do, no matter how much they have tried or wanted to do it...

HOUSEWIFE: Yes, it was an interesting text... from a few lines you have gotten many reflections Alberto, I would not have been able to understand it at such complexity...

PUBLISHER: It's all about studying the Bible, Juan. The more we study, the more knowledge about God and his promises we have… and the stronger our faith and our hope… with these conversations we have had… you have read only a few words that seem to give hope about a better future to come…

HOUSEWIFE: Without the problems we have today...

PUBLISHER: Exactly... now imagine knowing all the promises that the Bible gives us and how God helps us to face the problems we have today... not only do we live happier without fewer problems, but our hope is a very powerful weapon to combat the anguish of our days...

HOUSEWIFE: Sure, by having hope for something better... it makes you focus more on what's coming and worry less about what you're suffering today, right?

PUBLISHER: That's right, Juan. Would you like to have the same feelings or way of facing life?

HOUSEWIFE: Of course, but you've been studying the Bible for a long time, haven't you?

PUBLISHER: Look... I'm going to show you a very short video about who Jehovah's Witnesses are... you know I belong to this religion... look at how we study the Bible... (... video...) What did you think of the video ?

HOUSEWIFE: Well, look... I knew you went to church or halls as they call it, although I really didn't know what they did... now things are much clearer to me...

PUBLISHER: There are many religions, and the choice of one or another is a personal issue for each person... I don't want to influence there, and no one should... everyone does what they have in their hearts... you saw what we do in our meetings And how are we… would you like to attend one day and check it out in person, without any kind of commitment?

HOUSEWIFE: I could take one day, yes… you would have to notify me in advance because of work and family… but yes, it would be nice to see him in person…

PUBLISHER: Great Juan. With this COVID we are not meeting in person as you saw in the video but by group video call as we are doing now... so it can be easier and more flexible...

HOUSEWIFE: Oh well yes, it's easier for me that way...

PUBLISHER: Great, well, I'll give you the data like I did for this video call the next day we have a meeting... when you connect you will be able to see that everything we study with the Bible guides us in our lives... for what? Well, for many things, being better people, pleasing God, facing problems, encouraging each other, etc.

HOUSEWIFE: Done, Alberto. Give me the data and I'll connect.

PUBLISHER: Perfect Juan. After the meeting we can talk briefly and see how the Bible helps us guide our lives? As we will see in the parts of the meeting.

HOUSEWIFE: Well, that sounds great to me.
