Pay constant attention to your conduct and your teaching (1 Tim. 4:16).
Dedication is a vow, and Jehovah expects you to keep it. So stay close to your congregation. Those who are part of her will be her spiritual family. By attending meetings regularly, you will strengthen your friendship with your brothers and sisters. Read the Bible every day and take time to meditate on it (Ps. 1: 1, 2). You must stop to think about what you have read, and then the words will touch your heart. You should also do what Jesus said: "Pray constantly" (Matt. 26:41). Your sincere prayers will bring you closer to Jehovah. Also, keep “seeking first the Kingdom” (Matt. 6:33). How? Making preaching a priority in your life. By preaching regularly, you will keep your faith strong. The difficulties you face in this old world "are momentary and light" (2 Cor. 4:17). However,Through your dedication and baptism, you will have a happier life now and “the life that really is life” in the future (1 Tim. 6:19). Isn't it worth the effort? w20.03 13 pars. 19-21
What truths about the Father have you learned and accepted?
Do you remember when you learned the following truths about the Father? His name is Jehovah, he is “the Most High over all the earth” and he is the only “true God” (Ps. 83:18; Is. 37:16). He is also our Creator and "salvation belongs to him" (Ps. 3: 8; 36: 9). In addition, he has done what is necessary to save us from sin and death, and has given us hope to live forever (John 17: 3). By dedicating yourself and being baptized, you will publicly demonstrate that you are one of Jehovah's Witnesses (Isa. 43: 10-12). You will join a worldwide family of people who worship Jehovah, wear his name with pride and make him known. --Ps. 86:12.
It is a great honor to understand what the Bible teaches about the Father. When you accept these valuable truths, your heart will move you to dedicate yourself to Jehovah and be baptized.
What truths about the Son have you learned and accepted?
How did you feel when you learned the following truths about the Son? Jesus is the second most important person in the universe. He is our Redeemer, because he was willing to give his life to rescue us. When we show by our actions that we have faith in that ransom, we can receive forgiveness of our sins, develop friendship with God, and gain eternal life (John 3:16). Jesus is also our High Priest, wanting to help us benefit from the ransom and have a close relationship with Jehovah. --Heb. 4:15; 7:24, 25. As the King of the Kingdom of God, Jehovah will use him to sanctify his name, eliminate evil and bless us for all eternity in the future Paradise (Matt. 6: 9, 10; Rev. 11:15). Furthermore, Jesus is our example (1 Pet. 2:21).He dedicated his life to doing God's will and thus gave us a model that we should emulate (John 4:34).
When you accept what the Bible teaches about Jesus, you will come to love Jehovah's dear Son. That love will drive you to use your life to do God's will, just like Jesus. And as a result, you will want to dedicate yourself to Jehovah and be baptized.
