Let's Examine the Scriptures Every Day 2021

Thy kingdom come. Let your will be carried out, as in heaven, also on earth (Matt. 6:10).

Christianity generally does not teach that the Bible says that obedient human beings will live forever on Earth (2 Cor. 4: 3, 4). Today, most religions that claim to be Christian teach that all good people go to heaven when they die. In contrast, at the end of the nineteenth century, the small group of Christians who studied the Bible and published the magazine today called The Watchtower already believed something different. They understood that God will make Earth a paradise and that millions of obedient people will live here on Earth, not in heaven. Despite this, it took them a while to clearly understand who these obedient people will be. Of course, the Bible Students also understood that the Scriptures teach that some would be “bought from the earth” to rule with Jesus in heaven (Rev. 14: 3).That group would be made up of 144,000 enthusiastic and dedicated Christians who had faithfully served God on earth. w19.09 27 pars. (a) According to Isaiah 46:10, 11, why are we not surprised that Jehovah fulfilled the prophecy about the great crowd? b) Why don't those who hope to live on Earth feel marginalized?

We have many reasons to be excited about this prophecy. We are not surprised that Jehovah has fulfilled it in such an extraordinary way. --Read Isaiah 46:10, 11. The members of the great crowd thank God for their hope. They do not feel marginalized because he has not anointed them with his spirit to serve with Jesus in heaven. The Bible speaks of faithful men and women who were led by the holy spirit but who are not part of the 144,000, such as John the Baptist and David (Matt. 11:11; Acts 2:34). They and many more will be resurrected in the terrestrial Paradise. And all of them, along with the great crowd, will have the opportunity to demonstrate their loyalty to Jehovah and to his sovereignty.

If we understand the vision of the great crowd, what will we do?

Never before in history has Jehovah gathered millions of people from all nations to worship him. Whether we hope to live in heaven or on earth, we must help as many people as we can to become part of the great crowd of “other sheep” (John 10:16). Soon, Jehovah will unleash the great tribulation that will end the governments and religions that have made mankind suffer. All members of the great crowd will enjoy an extraordinary honor - serving Jehovah on earth for all eternity. --Rev. 7:14.
