Why didn't Jason take a bribe?
The reason Jason did not accept the bribe was because of the relationship he has with God, this influences every aspect of his life including his attitude towards work. That is why even if others do dishonest things he will not do it, because he puts into practice what he believes.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
Because he was one of Jehovah's Witnesses, he understood that his relationship with Jehovah should influence every aspect of his life, including work. Hence, he avoided doing dishonest things.
Because despite being a good worker, he was aware that he did not deserve the money that the other worker was giving him, and as a Christian he clearly could not receive a bribe, which is what he really was.
How can we put Colossians 3:23 into practice?
Giving our best to Jehovah, that in every task we do, even in an area of our lives that we undertake. We must do it with the heart with a pleasant and good noble purpose, we must have the best attitude to be able to do that work as if we were doing it for God and in that way you will see how you recover your identity as that passion that love for doing that shining things is going to result in great work.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
Doing things as for Jehovah and not for men, doing so should encourage us to be good workers, not to cheat, and even to be more organized, taking care of our work environment, as we saw him, choosing garbage that someone else had thrown down.
We can do this by letting our relationship with Jehovah influence every aspect of our lives, including our attitude towards work, and even if we see others doing dishonest things, we should not do so.
How did Jason's good example influence Thomas?
Thomas saw Jason who was always so happy, Thomas liked Jason's relationship with God. When Jason invited Thomas to visit the construction where he was volunteering. He felt like he was in another world, with people of different races working together without prejudice and all volunteers, Jason offered a bible course to Thomas. He liked what he learned.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
His good example made Thomas interested in knowing more about Jehovah's people, so he went to the building where Jason served as a volunteer which undoubtedly surprised him even more, he accepted a Bible course that his wife had offered him so much. And he began to attend meetings.
Seeing the good example of this Christian, when Jason offered him a Bible course this time he accepted it, although he had previously rejected it, he also started going to meetings, although he did not go every week.
How can we put Matthew 6:22 into practice?
Not focusing on two things at once. Jesus wanted his followers to focus on a single goal to do the will of God, so instead of letting material things distract us, we should have a simple life, do not go into debt unnecessarily, or buy things that take up a lot of time and They will distract us in leading a life, if it leaves us time for what is really important.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
Focusing on doing Jehovah's will. Well, it is impossible to focus on several things at the same time. For that we must, like Jason, have a simple life, we should not go into debt unnecessarily and we will even avoid buying things that would distract us.
We can put it into practice if we focus only on one thing, on the most important objective which is to do the will of God, so instead of letting material things distract us we should lead a simple life, so we will have time for what it really is important.
