Let's Examine the Scriptures Every Day 2021

I have called you friends (John 15:15).
Good friends will help us to be loyal to Jehovah. And the best way to make friends is by being friends (Matt. 7:12). For example, the Bible tells us to spend ourselves for others, especially those in need (Eph. 4:28). If we focus on helping others, we are more likely to feel happy (Acts 20:35). The friends we make will support us when we face difficulties and help us keep the peace. Just as Elihu listened to Job vent, our friends will listen patiently to us when we share our concerns (Job 32: 4). Of course, we should not expect them to make decisions for us, but we will be prudent if we listen to the biblical advice they give us (Prov. 15:22). And when we go through times of need, let's be like King David, that he did not allow pride to prevent him from accepting help from his friends (2 Sam. 17: 27-29). Without a doubt, these kinds of friends are a gift from Jehovah (James 1:17). w19.04 11 par. 12; 12 paras. 14, 15
According to John 8:29, why else did Jesus feel inner peace?
(Read John 8:29). Jesus felt inner peace even when they persecuted him. Why? Because he knew he was making his Father happy. He was obedient even in the most difficult circumstances. Because she loved Jehovah, her entire life was focused on serving him. Before coming to earth, he was God's “master worker” (Prov. 8:30). And, when he came, he enthusiastically taught the truth about his Father (Matt. 6: 9; John 5:17). This work made him very happy (John 4: 34-36).
How does preaching help us keep our inner peace?
We imitate Jesus by obeying Jehovah and “always having much to do in the Lord's work” (1 Cor. 15:58). The Christian who is "intensely busy" in preaching sees his problems with different eyes (Acts 18: 5). One reason is that the people we preach to often have more complicated lives than we do. But when they come to love Jehovah and learn to do what he says, their life improves and they are happier. Each time that happens, our confidence grows that God will take care of us. And that conviction helps us maintain inner peace. This is the case of a sister who has been battling depression and deep feelings of worthlessness all her life. She recounts: “Being busy in preaching gives me emotional stability and makes me feel happy. I think it is because that is when I feel closest to Jehovah. "
What do we learn from what Brenda tells?
Let's also look at the example of a sister named Brenda. Both she and her daughter have a serious disease called multiple sclerosis. Brenda is in a wheelchair and has low energy. Whenever possible, he preaches from house to house, but usually by letter. He says: “Once I understood that in this system I was not going to heal and I assimilated it emotionally, I was able to focus on the ministry. In fact, preaching makes me forget about my worries. It forces me to focus on helping the people I talk to in the congregation territory. And it constantly reminds me of the hope I have. "
