PUBLISHER: Good morning, today we are talking to people asking them a question, Will suffering be a punishment from God?

HOUSEWIFE: I think not.

PUBLISHER: Right and like you, there are people who do not believe that suffering is caused by God, but there are people who think that suffering is, in some way, a form of punishment, for example, what do some people say when they lose to a loved one?

HOUSEWIFE: They know how to say that because God punished them that way.

PUBLISHER: So there are people who think like that, but in the Bible we find a different statement, here in James 1:13, please read it.

HOUSEWIFE: Well, it says ...

PUBLISHER: Thanks for reading, in a part of the verse it says that God cannot be put to the test, is that so?

HOUSEWIFE: Sure, no one can put God to the test since he is Almighty.

PUBLISHER: Exactly, but instead, what can't God do?

HOUSEWIFE: Well, he doesn't test anyone either.

PUBLISHER: Right, when we go through a difficult situation, it's not that God is punishing us or testing us, but then why do we suffer? Does it seem okay if another day what the Bible says to you?

HOUSEWIFE: Sounds good to me, no problem.
