Let's Examine the Scriptures Every Day 2021

Are we not to submit much more to the Father? (Heb. 12: 9).
We must submit or submit to Jehovah. He is our Creator, and for that reason he has the right to set standards for those he created (Rev. 4:11). But there is another important reason to obey him: his way of ruling is the best. Throughout history, many men have had some power and authority over others. But Jehovah is the wisest, most loving, considerate, and compassionate ruler of all (Ex. 34: 6; Rom. 16:27; 1 John 4: 8). We submit to him when we do our best to obey him in all things and fight the desire to trust our understanding (Prov. 3: 5). Knowing his wonderful qualities makes it easier for us to submit to him, for those qualities are reflected in all his actions (Ps. 145: 9). The better we know Jehovah, the more we love him. And, if we love it, We don't need a long list of rules that tell us what to do and what to avoid. w19.09 14 pars. 1, 3
According to Romans 7: 21-23, why is it sometimes difficult for us to submit to Jehovah?
One reason we sometimes find it difficult to submit to Jehovah is that we have inherited sin and are imperfect. Therefore, we have the tendency to disobey. When Adam and Eve rebelled against God and ate the fruit He had forbidden them, they set their own standards (Gen. 3:22). Like them, most people today prefer to ignore God and decide for themselves what is right and what is wrong.
Even those of us who know and love Jehovah may struggle to submit to him completely. That is what happened to the apostle Paul (read Romans 7: 21-23). Like him, we want to do what God thinks is right. But we must constantly fight the inclination to do wrong.
What is another reason why it can be difficult for us to submit to Jehovah? Give an example.
It can also be difficult for us to submit to Jehovah because of the influence of the culture in which we grew up. Many human ideas collide with what God says, and we may have a constant struggle to detach ourselves from ways of thinking that are common today. Let's look at just one example.
In some places, it is normal for young people to be pressured into spending their lives earning a lot of money. This is what happened to a sister named Mary. * Before meeting Jehovah, she studied at one of the most important universities in her country. Her family pressured her to get a job that would earn a lot of money and have prestige. And that's what she wanted too. But her goals changed when she met and loved Jehovah. Still, he acknowledges: “Sometimes I see business opportunities that would earn me a lot of money but that would affect my service to Jehovah. Because of how I was raised, I still have a hard time saying no. I have to plead with Jehovah to help me resist the temptation to accept jobs that prevent me from serving him. ”- Matt. 6:24.
