Let's Examine the Scriptures Every Day 2021

Jehovah sees the humble (Ps. 138: 6).
Jehovah loves humble people. Only those who show true humility can be your close and dear friends. Instead, "he knows the arrogant only from a distance." We all want to please Jehovah and feel his tender affection, so we have good reason to learn to be humble. Humility is a virtue contrary to pride and vanity.
The Bible shows that the humble understand that Jehovah is much greater than he is and that everyone surpasses him in some respect. --Philip. 2: 3, 4. There are people who appear to be humble.
They may not have an overflowing personality or treat others with respect and kindness because of their culture or upbringing. But deep down they may be superb. Sooner or later, they show the kind of people they really are (Luke 6:45). w19.09 2 paras. 1, 3, 4
What is humility?
Humility is a virtue contrary to pride and vanity. The Bible shows that the humble understand that Jehovah is much greater than he is and that everyone surpasses him in some respect. --Philip. 2: 3, 4.
Why do we say that humility is not a matter of mere appearance?
There are people who appear to be humble. They may not have an overflowing personality or treat others with respect and kindness because of their culture or upbringing. But can
that deep down they are superb. Sooner or later, they show the kind of people they really are (Luke 6:45).
On the other hand, people who seem confident or straightforward are not necessarily proud (John 1:46, 47). Still, those with an outgoing personality should be careful not to rely on their natural abilities. Regardless of our personalities, we should all strive to be humble of heart.
