Let's Examine the Scriptures Every Day 2021
Saturday, June 12, 2021
Whichever city or village you enter, search until you find out who is worthy in it, and stay there until you leave (Matt. 10:11).
Why is the disciple-making work so important? Because only those who follow Christ can be friends of God. In addition, they have a better life now and the prospect of eternal life in the future (John 14: 6; 17: 3).
It is true that Jesus has entrusted us with a serious responsibility, but we are not alone. The apostle Paul said that he and other Christians were "co-workers with God" (1 Cor. 3: 9). Undoubtedly, Jehovah and Christ have bestowed great honor on imperfect human beings.
Also, disciple-making can bring us great happiness. The first step is to seek out those who want to know Jehovah. We show that we are true Jehovah's Witnesses by talking to everyone we meet. And we show that we are authentic Christians if we obey Jesus' command to preach. w19.07 15 pars. 3-5
What will help us to be successful in preaching?
Some people are eager to learn the truths of the Bible. On the other hand, others seem indifferent at first, and we may have to pique their interest. To have
success in preaching, we need to know well what we are going to say. Let's pick topics that are likely to catch people's attention and think about how to present them.
a) How could we start a conversation? b) Why do you think it is important that we listen and show respect?
For example, we could say: “I would like to know your opinion on the following topic. Today, we are faced with many problems everywhere. Do you think a world government is needed to solve them? Later, we could read and comment on Daniel 2:44. Or perhaps we could say, “I would like to ask you a question. What do you think is the key to having well-educated children?
So we could look at Deuteronomy 6: 6, 7. Whatever topic we choose, let's think about the people we are going to talk to. Imagine how they will benefit from learning what the Bible really teaches. When we speak with them, it is important that we listen to them and respect their opinion. In this way, we will understand them better and they will be more likely to listen to us.
