APPLY YOURSELF TO THE FIELD MINISTRY, December 1-7, 2025, Start conversations: FROM HOUSE TO HOUSE. (Making disciples: a work of love, Lesson 1, point 5). Assignment Prepared.

Start conversations (3 mins.) HOUSE TO HOUSE. Introduce and discuss a video from the teaching kit, but do not play it (lmd lesson 1 point 5).

Context: During a door-to-door preaching session, the preacher initiates a conversation with a person to show them a video about why they should study the Bible. The person expresses interest in understanding the answers the Bible offers.

Publisher: Hello, good morning. How are you? My name is [name].

Assistant: Hello, I'm very well, thank you. And you? My name is [name].

Publisher: Okay, thank you. Today I want to share with you a very interesting video whose topic is "Why study the Bible?" Would you like to watch it?

Assistant: Yes, of course. I'd like to know what it's about.

Publisher: What did you think of the video?

Assistant: Ah, interesting. Because it's true, from the moment we learn to speak we begin to ask questions, and as we grow, we continue to seek answers. And questions about life, suffering, and death, for many people, seem to have no answer.

Publisher: Exactly. Do you think there are answers to those questions?

Assistant: I don't know. I suppose so, but I don't know where to find them. The truth is, I haven't studied the Bible much.

Publisher: Well, the video says that the answers have always been there, in the Bible. Notice something very interesting that 1 John 5:19 says: “We know that we are from God, but the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.”

Assistant: That's interesting. I've never read that before.

Publisher: Yes, it's a verse that helps us understand why there is so much suffering and pain in the world. The Bible says that the whole world is under the control of an invisible and powerful being who wants to harm us.

Assistant: That makes sense. I'd never thought of it that way.

Publisher: Would you like to know more about what the Bible says?

Assistant: Yes I'd like to.
